Learn to see the world from a different perspective

Ever had a moment where suddenly something very familiar to you appears in a completely different light? Or, from a completely different angle?
If you ever wondered what your cat did with its feet when it sits like that, well, now you know. All it takes is one photo of the underside of a cat sitting on a glass table to make you never look at a feline the same way again. The next time you see kitty in a regal pose you’ll only be able to imagine its feet smushed under and its flat, hovercraft-like body.
Or, although it might take a while to figure out just what is “wrong” with it, after studying the What’s Up? South Map, you will literally see the world from a different perspective. And if you get one of these maps of your own (recommended), you will forever judge others by whether they appreciate the map with a smile or whether they argue, steadfastly, that the map is upside down because North always must be at the top. These same folks will, if you ask them to show you North, point up. And you won’t look at them the same way, either.
One reason people like to learn languages is that it changes the way they view the world. They’re learning along, minding their own business, picking up verbs and vocabulary when suddenly there’s this word, this concept that can’t be explained in their native language. It’s like seeing a whole other side of things. Or a whole other side of cat.

That cat picture gets funnier the longer you look at it.
